Celtic 3-0 Rangers

The only surprise at full-time was that Lou Reed's Perfect Day did not echo through the Celtic Park Tannoy system.

Rangers opened as the brighter side but promptly found themselves two goals behind. From there, the SPL champions were never likely to be headed.

Steven Whittaker and Andrew Little spurned decent opportunities for Rangers within the first 16 minutes. Celtic proved more ruthless, with Charlie Mulgrew sending them in front with a fine diving header from Kris Commons's corner.

As the Rangers midfielder Rhys McCabe dallied in possession, Georgios Samaras nipped in to claim the ball. The Greek played in Hooper, who offered a fierce finish into the roof of the net.
